Hey this post is probably going to sound condescending but I don’t care.

Guys I know how much it takes to maintain a fanblog: general, shipping, porny, whatever, this shit takes dedication, patience, love and frustration. It’s about hunting down pictures in the deepest part of pixiv without knowing a katakana, it’s about being the first to post or reblog someone’s art, being liked and hoping you get followers and hardcore patience in maintaining your blog active.

You know what, I understand, I’ve been doing this more or less for quite some time now. People want to find others who like the same stuff, that “great, oh my god, people understands!” feeling that comes with meeting new strangers on the internet. That’s the greatness of fandom, whatever the platform.

The thing is, I understand how difficult it can be sometimes, and it’s one of the reason why I absolutely hate whenever someone posts great art but doesn’t source it.

I see people post extracts of fic and link to the author and the AO3/FF/LJ to say ‘Look, this is great, go read it, that person is awesome!”. Ask yourself why the fuck it should be different on art. Because it’s drawings? Yes, I mean it’s great that you repost someone’s art, you’re only spreading your knowledge of their existence, how nice of you! IF ONLY YOU COULD CREDIT IT.

And you don’t even have the excuse of ‘I can’t read japanese, I wouldn’t know’, because I’m not sure you have tried at all.

Do you know that google could be used for reverse image search? Do you know that saucenao is working really well to find source on pixiv (and other japanese blogs) even if it’s deleted?

So the thing is this: if you have enough free time to open and maintain a fan tumblr, you have enough time to look for the source of the posts that are going to make your tumblr stay afloat. Just saying.

Edit: shout out to all the people who read the post and didnt realize I typed katana instead of katakana. I know nothing about katanas so I guess the point still stands.

For the ones who’ll turn up their noses at them having a nice time all together, well i did it on purpose. This is what hetalia means to me, having an excuse and a chance to expand our own’s national horizons, getting to learn more and acquaint ourselves with other cultures and peoples, and hopely making new friends.
I think Hetalia has a big “hidden” potential; reducing it to angst and history arguings is a little poor imo. >3>

Eurovision is a European song contest in which each years, europeans countries can vote for candidates OTHER than their own.

BUT because of the system of vote, it turned into a ‘I’m voting for my friends’  (expect Russian’s neighbourhood to vote for it, the East European feast, Nordics only voting for themselves etc)

anyway a tooons of fun for hetalia fans ;D

ummm…. no I am not baby in the fandom, I’ve been a fan for 3 years lol! I just have never heard of it before. Is it so wrong?

Oh sorry to have assumed so! No it’s just that I thought that it was a sort of Hetalian tradition to watch eurovison (the same way we follow like the world cup or any worldwide thingies).

It’s a thing that I’ve been doing for a while now, like a yearly gathering of fans to comment on candidates :)
